“Ladies Room" explores the relationship between movement, gender roles, and subconscious biases contributing to the feminist discourse. Although movement serves as the primary medium for our research, we curated monologues, music, and costumes that resonate with our theme and critique the effects of societal conditioning on gender performance. As women in an art form largely dominated by female artists, we feel a responsibility to confront the ongoing repression of women. Especially because the leadership roles in this field are still predominantly held by men. Coming from the USA, where women's rights and bodily autonomy are increasingly under threat, we draw from these experiences to inform our work. We aim to amplify women's voices and contribute to an ongoing dialogue on gender.

“Gigi and Selina unleash a physical force that fills the space. Their sharp and present facial expressions embody power. Their movements unfold like a vibrant, loud dialogue. Yet, rich in intensity, they often shift into moments of intersection, producing a rapid succession of multiple pictures. ”
